Introduction

I'd like to see if we can use this forum as a virtual department meeting to discuss issues that impact the whole department. I'm counting on security by obscurity to confine this discussion to department members - so obviously don't say anything that you don't care to have read by random passersby. I have turned off searching and listing of the blog, though, which should help with that.
